Leet Green Sustainable Orphanages Initiative

Leet Green currently has 13 orphanages with bins, 7 more waiting, and 6 current homes wanting an extra set.

We have also managed to partner up with http://hijaukembali.webs.com so they will be doing the other bit of recycling.

In a sense the orphanages can be a complete waste collection point for its community, while earning an extra income. They will earn from the sale of recyclables to alam flora, fertilizer to the open market arranged by hijaukembali, and the worms also through hijau kembali.

But the applications need to sponsored. We appreciate your kind donation towards this project. Thank you.

 

Update (14-11-2009)

Leet.Green has achieved 19 orphanges. We are now looking for sponsors for worm-bins to do composting as well. Each composting application is RM550 and the home receives training, instruction manuals and a 'Worm-poo' BuyBack Scheme. Leet.Green, through HijauKembali.com, will purchase the fertilizer at market rates. This adds to the revenue generated by the Recyclables collected by Alam Flora.

This way, if you live nearby a home and have a Hijau Kembali worm-bin application, you can donate part of your worm-castings to the home to add to their income along with your recyclables. Its the complete waste-management system - in other words no more landfills.
